Request for Google Info

ASMP is looking for your help in our class-action lawsuit against Google, ASMP v. Google, Inc. This suit seeks compensation for Google’s scanning, copying and/or distribution of visual works in violation of U.S. copyright law. (Read our earlier articles on the suit.) It now appears that this case may be headed to trial in 2013.

The law firm that is handling the case, Mishcon de Reya New York, is now looking for information that will help establish how much money photographers stand to lose as a result of Google’s scanning project. This, in turn, will help generate the maximum financial recovery for the class of registered visual artists, of which you may be a member.
