Ken Kollodge/Alaska Chromes Inc. of Fairbanks, has lived and photographed in Alaska for the past 23 years. Ken completed a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Minnesota shortly before he and his wife moved to Fairbanks in 1975. For the past ten years, he has held memberships in ASMP, American Society of Picture Professionals and the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce. Ken has traveled Alaska extensively and has accumulated a stock library of 35,000+ images in 35mm, 6x7cm and 4x5 inch, mostly color transparencies, but some black & white. More than 3,000 of Ken's images have been published, appearing in Outdoor Life, Natural History, Travel-Holiday, Alaska Magazine, Focus, Sierra Club calendars and airlines in-flight magazines. |
His images have also been published in advertising brochures, trade show displays, corporate calendars, slide shows and as offset litho prints. A select few images make up a line of premium quality custom Cibachrome photographs sold directly by him and through galleries. The companies that have hired Ken repeatedly for assignments include Princess Tours, Alyeska Pipeline Service Co., H.C. Price Construction, Porcaro Blankenship Advertising, Denali State Bank and the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival.
